Mr. Leonard Keith Redding, 77, of Abingdon, Illinois, formerly of Gray Court, South Carolina, died at 8:26 a.m. Sunday, February 1, 2026, at his daughter’s home in Abingdon.

He was born April 15, 1948, in Greenville, South Carolina, to Grady Richard and Margaret (Case) Redding. He married Linda Kathryn Amos in 1984 in Laurens County, South Carolina. She preceded him in death on November 21, 2022.

Surviving are his son, Chauncey Christopher (Erika) Redding of Canton, Illinois; his daughter, Chelsea Meredith Loomis of Abingdon; a brother, Richard Redding of Odessa, Florida; a sister, Teresa (Dennis) McCoy of Gray Court, South Carolina; and six grandchildren, Anastasia (Logan) Daily, Savannah Redding, Megan Redding, Lillith Loomis, Damien Loomis, and Kylan Loomis. He was preceded in death by his parents; his twin brother, Kenneth Redding; and a sister-in-law, Diane Redding.

Keith graduated from Hillcrest High School in Fountain Inn, South Carolina. Over the years, he held many occupations, including paramedic, veterinary technician, cosmetologist, and private airplane pilot. His most recent employment was at a Walmart Distribution Center in Laurens, South Carolina.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the National Federation of the Blind. Keith enjoyed making porcelain dolls until he lost his sight and was always active. In 2024, he moved in with his daughter to spend more time with his family.

In accordance with Keith’s wishes, cremation will be accorded. No services are scheduled. Memorials may be made to the family.
