Ford of Galesburg Owner Dan Kuna Comments on Markets Approach to More Electric Vehicles

Share

As electric vehicles continue to move onto car lots, Ford of Galesburg Owner Dan Kuna says locally not much demand has been seen yet:

“The manufacturers and the way they are approaching it, in addition to Ford, most of them are pretty bullish and the way they see the future it is clearly EV. However, how we are getting there and the timelines seem to be a little bit accelerated then what the average customer and most people are expecting. In our markets and even some bigger markets, there is not that much demand. There is still a quite a bit of EV anxiety and the costs; just a lot of complexity about it. In our markets, there is still a lot of demand for ICE, internal combustion engines.”

In the United States, the average price of an electric vehicle is $67,000.
