Monmouth College Men’s Basketball Readies for MWC Tournament

The Monmouth College men’s basketball team has a big weekend coming up in Jacksonville, Illinois. The Fighting Scots will be playing in the Midwest Conference Championship Semifinal against Cornell College on Friday night. Monmouth finished the regular season 14-11 overall and 10-6 in conference play, finishing 3rd in conference regular season standings. Sports Information Director at the college, Nathan Baliva spoke on the upcoming matchup with the Rams, a team that just beat Monmouth last Tuesday.

The Scots will play Cornell on Friday at Illinois College, at 7 o clock. If Monmouth can get a win in that game they will move on to the MWC championship game on Saturday against either the host IC, or Ripon at 3 o clock.
