The Abingdon-Avon Tornadoes Girls Basketball team intends on building off another phenomenal season in 2024-25. A season highlighted by regional and sectional championship titles. The Tornadoes made an impressive run in the postseason, falling just short in the Super Sectional to the eventual class 1A state champion, Pecatonica Indians. The Tornadoes wasted no time getting back on the court this summer, diving into a highly competitive game schedule. Head Coach Brent Dugan shares how the summer shaped up for his squad as they look to keep the momentum of a deep postseason run going into next season.

Despite graduating four seniors from last year’s squad, the Tornadoes return a strong core of players and are hoping to take the next step to Bloomington/Normal in March.
