The Monmouth-Roseville girls basketball team is coming up on the biggest game of their 22-23 campaign, and maybe their biggest game in program history. After a 24 win regular season, the Lady Titans earned a 3 seed in the Bureau Valley regional and a bye for the first round. On Monday they played their first regional game, a semifinal match with the Red Devils of Spring Valley Hall, which the Titans would win big by a score of 55-30. The win gave M-R their program record 25th win of the season, and sets up a regional final match on Thursday night with the 27-4 Princeton Tigers. On the heels of the big game, head coach of the Titans Scott Weber says that Princeton will bring a tough game, but his squad will be ready to match what the Tigers bring.
If the Lady Titans can come away with the win in Manlius, it will be the first regional title in the programs history. Tip-off for Thursday nights game is scheduled for 7:00, and you can hear all the game action on AM 1330/FM 94.1 WRAM, beginning with the pregame show at around 6:40.
