The United girls varsity basketball team took part in two contests so far this week. On Monday the Red Storm hosted a tough Annawan team at the Fieldhouse, falling 57-24. On Wednesday, United would travel up to Kewanee Wethersfield, falling to another tough Flying Geese team 41-29. The losses drop the young Red Storm team to 9-17 on the season and 1-8 in Lincoln Trail Conference play. Despite the loss to Wethersfield last night, Head Coach Chris Olson says the team continued to show improvement, specifically in the second half.
