Monmouth Police Chief Joe Switzer Reminds City Residents of Regulations to Follow with Golf Carts and Non-Highway Vehicles

The 2023-2024 golf cart/non-highway vehicle stickers for the City of Monmouth are now available at the Monmouth Police Department, informs Police Chief Joe Switzer:

“If you want to drive your golf cart on the road this year when the weather gets nicer out, you do need to bring it down to the police department. The vehicle has to be inspected for various different things; headlights, turn signals, seatbelts, and you have to provide proof of insurance. If anybody has any questions about any of this, please call the police department or come down to the police department and we will give you a copy of the ordinance and it explains everything. Come down and have your vehicle inspected and then you will get a registration sticker to put on the front of your vehicle so we can identify that the vehicle has been registered and inspected.”

A one-time inspection fee for a golf cart or non-highway vehicle is $50. Yearly registration stickers are $50 for the City of Monmouth.
