Murder Charges Dropped In Maquon Death Case

Share

Prosecutors in Galesburg are dropping most of the charges, including murder charges, in the death of a former Maquon police chief. The State’s Attorney’s Office on Thursday dropped murder charges against 50-year-old Marcy Oglesby, but no one is saying why. Knox County deputies arrested Oglesby back in October of last year after they found the body for former Maquon Police Chief Rick Young inside a box inside the storage unit she was renting. Oglesby continues to face concealment of a death charges as well as weapons and forgery charges. She’s due in court next month.
