Burlington Police Release Identity of Body Found In Mississippi River

The Burlington Police Department has released the identity of the deceased male located in the river on Friday afternoon as Christopher Martin Fenton, 35, from Stronghurst, Illinois. The facts and circumstances surrounding Fenton’s death are still under investigation.  

The investigation into a body pulled out of the Mississippi River on Friday continues. Rescuers in Burlington pulled the man’s body out of the river Friday afternoon. Police found a truck, then an empty boat, and started searching for a body after that. There’s no word how or why the man ended-up in the water.
