Peoria Man Sentenced To Prison For Armed Bank Robbery in Galesburg

(Peoria, IL) — A Peoria man is being sentenced to federal prison for robbing a bank in Galesburg. 51-year-old Dante Latice Williams is receiving nearly 22 years behind bars. Prosecutors say Williams and his girlfriend, Irene Belton, robbed a First Mid Bank and Trust in Galesburg in February 2019. Williams displayed a taser before the teller handed him more than two-thousand-dollars. Belton pleaded guilty last year and was sentenced to 43 months in jail.
