Selquist Named MWLC Defensive Player of the Week

The Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference announced on Monday that Monmouth College goalkeeper Lea Selquist (Peru, Illinois) was named co-Defensive Player of the Week. 

In her first ever lacrosse game, Selquist made 15 saves and picked up two ground balls in Monmouth’s 16-3 loss to Midland (Neb.) University on Saturday. She shared the league honor with Cornell’s Anna Methe while Meg Lewis from Cornell was named the Offensive Player of the Week. 

The Scots are back in action on Saturday, March 4 with a noon home game against Concordia-Chicago.
