Greenman, Bossert Shoot 77 at Second Round of SLIAC Championships

The Monmouth College men’s golf team continued the SLIAC Championships on Monday. The three-day conference final, at the par-72 Fair Oaks Golf Club in Caseyville, Illinois, represents the last meet of the season for the Fighting Scots

Ganon Greenman (Alpha, Illinois) is tied for 20th, leading the Scots. He shot a +5 77 on Monday and is +11 for the championships.

Briggs Bossert (Evanston, Illinois) tied Greenman for the best Monmouth round on Monday with a +5 77. He is in 27th place at +14 overall.

Ryan Prusak (Oswego, Illinois) shot a +10 82 on Tuesday and is +16 overall, tied for 31st.

Noah Shields (Rantoul, Illinois) shot a +11 83 and is tied for 38th at +23. Grant Foster (Galesburg, Illinois) is in 48th place after a +14 86 and he is +39 overall.

The Scots sit in eighth place out of 11 teams after two days with a team score of 638, 62 over par. The top four players account for the team score and the Scots have a 319 in both rounds.

Monmouth has finished in eighth place out of 11 teams in each of the last two years and sit eight shots behind seventh-place Fontbonne.. Spalding leads the team score after the second round at 591 while also having the individual leader at -2, 142.

The third and final round tees off Tuesday morning with individual tee times and pairings yet to be announced.
