Local Funds Available for Individuals with Dementia and their Caregivers

Share

Strom Center Executive Director Carol McCrery shares local funds are available for individuals with dementia and their caregivers to purchase supplies or supplies that enhance their ability to live in the community through the ADRE program:

“It allows a caregiver and/or the person they are caring for if they have any form of dementia to receive funds up to $1,500 in a purchase. We will help purchase such things as lift chairs, security cameras, and we just did one for somebody that is wanting to install a stairlift. It is a great program, but it is coming to an end in June. If the funds are not used, we have to give them back.”

Funds are available to residents in Henderson and Warren Counties.
