Caitlin Clark Out With Groin Injury

Share

WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark will miss tonight’s Indiana Fever game. The team announced Clark will sit out their game against the Los Angeles Sparks due to a left groin injury. This will be the sixth game Clark has missed this season. She previously missed five straight games due to a quad injury she suffered in May. The Fever have not said if Clark will be able to return Friday when they visit the Dallas Wings and number one overall draft pick Paige Bueckers.

The Fever are moving on from a veteran player. Indiana has waived DeWanna Bonner and signed Aari McDonald for the rest of the season. Bonner was one of several offseason additions by the Fever. According to ESPN, the 37-year-old has contemplated retirement, but would prefer to return to the Phoenix Mercury where she began her career in 2009. McDonald was taken with the third pick in the 2021 draft by Atlanta.
