Mary Dolores Campagna, age 91, of Monmouth, Illinois, passed away at 3:42 p.m. on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg, IL. Dolores was born on October 18, 1931 in Monmouth, Illinois and is the daughter of Ward and Irene (Dudrick) Noonan. Dolores attended Horn Beck Rural School, east of Monmouth and graduated from Monmouth High School. She has been a life time member of Immaculate Conception Church of Monmouth. Dolores married Nicholas John Campagna on May 7, 1955 at Immaculate Conception Church in Monmouth and they were married for 66 years. He preceded her in his death on July 30, 2021. She was a homemaker for most of her life. Before that, she worked at Admiral as an office clerk, the Italian Village, and Smolers in Monmouth. Dolores loved sewing, playing cards, reading, playing bingo, and shopping. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends. Dolores is survived by her son, Curtis (Diana) Campagna of Monmouth, IL; her daughter, Jane (Randal) Shimmin of Roseville,IL. She is also survived by her sister, Regina Noonan of Galesburg, IL; six grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Nick, daughter Roxanne, and siblings Dick Noonan, Daniel Noonan, Kathleen Tadie, Patricia Holt, Theresa Darwin, and Betty Anderson.

A Memorial Mass for Dolores is planned for 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Immaculate Conception Church in Monmouth, Illinois. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass at the church. Following the mass, interment of her ashes will be in Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial fund is established for Immaculate Conception Church of Monmouth, Illinois.
