Monmouth City Council Adopts $38 Million Budget for FY 23-24

Share

The Monmouth City Council has unanimously adopted the budget for Fiscal Year 2023-2024. City Administrator Lew Steinbrecher presented a $38 million budget, up $7.5 million from last year:

“The main reason for that, we have been fortunate to receive a number of substantial grants over the last year. We have also been able to capitalize an infrastructure improvement fund to provide local matching funds to these grants to undertake a number of projects that have been in the que for quite a few years. The rest of the operating budget is pretty much status quo, there is no increase or decrease in staffing levels in any of the departments and then there is no decrease as well in the delivery of municipal services.”

Fiscal Year 2023-2024 for the City of Monmouth begins May 1st.
