Aledo’s Annual Rhubarb Festival Festival Returns For Its 31st Year

Aledo’s 31st Annual Rhubarb Festival is just around the corner. Each year Aledo welcomes anywhere between 8 to 12 thousand people to its Rhubarb Festival. Festival Board Member Denny Brown shares how this community staple got its start.

“It started in the back patio of a stone home. From there some ladies brainstormed ‘What would be fun that people may enjoy and get people coming to our community?’ Pretty soon people had different ideas that this would be a nice thing to offer.”

The Rhubarb Festival is June 2 and 3 and is free to attend. Attendees can expect rhubarb tastings, live music, a kid’s zone, a craft show, history trolley tours, pie-eating contests, and more.
