College Baseball and Softball Weekend Wrap-Ups

In college baseball action over the weekend, Illinois won two of three against UT-Martin, Northwestern lost twice in three games against Iowa, Notre Dame dropped two of three to Boston College, Bradley went 1-and-2 against Belmont, Illinois State took two of three from Valparaiso, Northern Illinois was swept by Eastern Michigan, and UIC lost two of three against Evansville.

In college softball action over the weekend, Northwestern moved on to Super Regionals in the NCAA Tournament.  The WIldcats beat Eastern Illinois 2-0 on Friday, took down Kentucky 10-8 on Saturday, and snuck past Miami of Ohio 5-4 on Sunday.  Meanwhile, Notre Dame was eliminated from the Tournament after losing to Oregon 5-4 on Friday, beating Harvard 5-2 on Saturday, but losing to Arkansas 5-0 later on Saturday.
