Local Community Members to Discuss Cyber Security During Thursdays Consumer Protection Forum

Share

On Thursday, May 11th beginning at 10 am, members of the local community and an FBI Cyber Supervisor will discuss a variety of topics during the Consumer Protection Forum, shares Security Savings Bank Marketing Director Konstanze Fowler:

“We are going to talk about how to be safe when everything is digital and crazy, there is artificial intelligence and everything. It is good to talk about how to protect yourself when people are trying to scam you on the internet and with phone calls. Personally, I have been receiving an email about once a week that looks like it is from somebody I know, but I know for a fact it is not them. They are acting like people that you talk to now. It gets harder to distinguish what is real and what isn’t, so that is why we are having this forum. It is really important to make sure everybody knows how to be safe.”

The Consumer Protection Forum can be heard on AM 1330/ FM 94.1 WRAM, online at https://977wmoi.com/listen-live/, or by downloading the WRAM mobile app.
