Marcia F. Kage, 76, of Galesburg, Illinois died 5:50 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2023, at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg surrounded by family.

She was born March 27, 1947, in Galesburg to J. Wendell “Pete” and Lila M. (Simpson) Brown.  She married Bill Cauthon in 1968.  She later married Jerry Kage in 1972.  She later reunited with Bill Cauthon in 1991 and they shared their home together until his death in 2019.

Surviving is her son, David Kage of Knoxville, Illinois, two daughters, Dawn (and Bob) Hutson of Pekin, Illinois and Brenda Kage of Galesburg, five grandchildren, Kristoffer Hutson and Katie Smith of Galesburg, Logan Smith of Knoxville, Lilah Kage and Rowan Kage of Gainesville, Florida, three great grandchildren, a special friend, Jenny Little of Muskogee, Oklahoma, and two cousins, Judy Calhoun and Myron Simpson.

Marcia graduated from Knoxville High School in 1965 and later attended Mid State College of Commerce in Peoria, Illinois.  She worked for Outboard Marine Corporation, Gale Products Division in Galesburg for 17 years.  When she was younger, she liked shooting pool, playing card games, antique shopping, and collecting things.  She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.  In her free time, you could find her scrolling through Facebook, checking up with family and friends, gardening, enjoying a few laughs, and finding out what was going on in the world.  Most of all, Marcia loved spending time with her family and friends.

As Marcia requested, cremation will be accorded.  A cremation burial will be at a later date in Knoxville Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Norwood Cemetery Association or to the Norwood Church in rural Alexis, Illinois.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
