Monmouth-Roseville Titan Baseball Still in the Hunt for TRAC West Title

Story by Prairie Communications intern Kadin Rogers

The Monmouth-Roseville varsity baseball team is in the middle of a very important stretch of games in their 2023 campaign. The Titans suffered a three game losing streak last week in losses to Macomb, Rockridge, and Spring Valley Hall, but bounced back in a big way with a 4-0 shutout win over a very solid 19-5 Orion Chargers ballclub on Monday. M-R’s win over Orion sets up an important rematch at home tomorrow night with the Chargers. A Titans win will move them to (7-2) in division play and into second place in the TRAC-West Division. It will also keep them alive in the division title hunt with Sherrard, who sits at (9-1). Sherrard has their West Division bye week this week. Monmouth-Roseville and Sherrard will play a home-and-home series next week. Tomorrow night’s game is an opportunity to honor Monmouth-Roseville’s senior baseball players before their game against Orion. Head Coach Jordan Ball acknowledged his senior players on the WRAM Morning Show, saying they are a great group of kids both on and off the field.

The Titans senior day game vs Orion is scheduled to begin tomorrow night at Sunny Lane Field in Monmouth at 4:30 PM. You can listen to the game live on AM 1330/FM 94.1 WRAM, online at radiomonmouth.com, or on our free 1330 WRAM app for your smartphone or tablet. Coverage will begin with the pregame show, at around 4:15.
