Story by Prairie Communications intern Kadin Rogers

The Monmouth-Roseville varsity softball team is coming up on another busy week of action as the regular season winds to a close, and IHSA regional play begins to creep closer. Tonight the Titans host the Orion Chargers for a rematch of Monday’s road loss at Orion. Next week, Monmouth-Roseville holds their senior day game against another TRAC-West rival the Sherrard Tigers on Monday, before gearing up for another home contest against the Stark County Rebels on Tuesday evening. Speaking on the special senior day game against Sherrard on the WRAM morning show, Titans Head Coach Jarrod Hippen got a chance to talk about the contributions his group of 3 senior players has made to the program in their time at Monmouth-Roseville.

The Titans come into tonights game against Orion holding a 5-14 record overall, and will look for their first win in Three Rivers Conference West Division play. For the full interview with Coach Hippen, visit the Sports Podcast section of our website, radiomonmouth.com
