Burlington Man Arrested on Drug Charges in Henderson County

Henderson County Sheriff, Matthew Link releases that a Burlington, IA man has been arrested on drug charges. On Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at approximately 11:11am the HHETSB 911 center along with Henderson County dispatch received a report of possible domestic dispute on US 34 traveling west, in rural Gladstone, IL. While in route to the scene dispatch advised that a female had begun walking down the highway.

When Deputies arrived they located a male walking from the suspect vehicle. During their investigation, Deputies learned the female had been picked up by another motorist. While speaking with the male he was patted down for officer safety. During the pat down, Deputies located a baggie containing drugs. Evidence of a domestic battery was not discovered.

Miguel Angel Diaz (age 37) was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine. Diaz is currently being held in the Henderson County Jail with no bond, awaiting a bond hearing. Diaz vehicle was also impounded and is subject to seizure.

Diaz is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
