Law enforcement departments across the country are facing staffing shortages. Locally, Dr. Christopher Barber, Coordinator of Carl Sandburg College’s Criminal Justice Program, is working to get more students excited about the career by being able to immerse them and local law enforcement officers into real life training scenarios through virtual reality:

Carl Sandburg College purchased the virtual reality system in March of 2022.
