An investigation is underway following a crash involving a stolen car and police vehicle in Peoria.  Authorities say police responded yesterday to the 47-hundred block of Knoxville on a report of a motor vehicle theft.  Officers located the stolen vehicle traveling on Sheridan near War Memorial Drive while being followed by another stolen vehicle.  Officers attempted to stop one of the stolen vehicles, but the driver reversed and hit a squad car.  Both stolen vehicles fled the scene and were later located unoccupied.  No officers were hurt.
