Kimberly D. “Kim” Kirwan, 47, of Galva, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023, 2:08 PM at Toulon Rehab and Healthcare Center, Toulon.

Kim was born on July 1, 1975 in Peoria. She was the daughter of Kevin and Wanda (Osborne) Kirwan. Kim is survived by her father, Kevin (Jane) Kirwan; son, Deion Kirwan of Galva; daughter, Kamryn Leigh Batton (Sarnes); grandson, Adriel Lamont Kirwan; brothers, Brandon (Kara) Wagner of Colorado and Matthew Sprout of Peoria; and her best friend, Christina Pyles of Peoria. She was preceded in death by her mother and her son, William Bricker, Jr.

Kim graduated from Woodruff High School, Peoria. She worked as a personal assistant and as a clerk at the local gas stations in Galva and Princeville. Kim enjoyed crocheting, painting, coloring and laying out in the sun on the trampoline. She loved her 80’s music loud, mowing the yard and doing the laundry. She also enjoyed making sun tea and eating a slice of chocolate pie. Most of all, Kim loved her family and spending time with them, especially her grandson.

Cremation rites will be accorded. No service will be held. Memorials may be made to the family. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory, Knoxville have been entrusted with her arrangements. On-line condolences and/or expressions of sympathy may be sent through www.hurd-hendricksfuneralhome.com
