Everybody has their own life insurance number. The amount of life insurance coverage varies from person to person depending on the number of children you have, mortgages, income, and several other areas, explains local Country Financial Agent Ben Olson:

“Everybody has a life insurance number. Just a little bit of breakdown, we are going to look into adding things together like final expenses, you know life insurance many think death, that is just one part of it. It could be your debt that you have from college, credit cards, vehicles, etc; income that you are wanting to replace for your loved ones, your spouse, or your kids when you cannot bring home a paycheck anymore. Then pile in if you have a mortgage. Lastly, education and just extra things like leaving a legacy for your family, and charitable options, so we will ask some questions, put together your life insurance number, and then we can hand that to you and talk you through how we came up with that and what works best for you.”

Olson states that one’s current age and health are big determining factors for a life insurance premium.
