“She was a leader. She was a 4-Her. She was someone who was just a really important person in Henderson County 4-H,” said Carlson. “If you’re involved in Henderson County four h you know her name. So we’re so glad we could recognize all those years of achievement and recognition, and all those years of service that she gave the 4-H.”

When Brokaw started her 4-H career as a member of the Healthy Happy Workers 4-H club which she says was a girls club at the time. Since her time in 4-H, she has been an active volunteer and leader for the organization.

“It’s a good program. Get out there, learn some skills, you’ll have them all your life just go for it and, you’ll succeed,” said Brokaw.
