Bruce and Dan Burgland Clear The Air About Highway 67 and Highway 34 Interchange Project

Construction is underway on the 240-acre plot at the US Highway 67 and Highway 34 interchange west of Monmouth. Over the last five years, Bruce and Dan Burgland have been working with Trajectory Energy Partners to get this project off the ground.

Bruce shares a little insight into what this project will become.

“I’ve had a lot of people ask, I kinda come up with some silly things to tell them at first what it was. But it’s going to be a solar field. We were approached back in 2018, it’s taken five years, but with the COVID shortage, they are still running into shortage. They are waiting for a lot of material to show up but they are starting gear up and hoping to be done by Christmas.”

While some have shared concerns about taking productive land out of production, Bruce says that they are just transitioning the land to a new use.
