Don’t Be an Easy Target, Lock Your Belongings

Warren County Sheriff Martin Edwards says over the last month burglaries have been on the rise and advises homeowners to lock up their belongings:

“It is not necessarily an occupied home, but it is the sheds or situations where people live out of the area and still have a home here or just out right burglaries. We continue to encourage folks to make sure your valuables are well secured and if you can afford it to think about putting in some camera systems, it helps. I know the crooks are getting smarter about how they go about doing things, covering their faces and wearing the gloves and all that, but they still have to wear something and sometimes it is just an identifiable article of clothing that will help us. It is good to have that so we can share that amongst ourselves and other law enforcement agencies to look out for.”
