The 2023 Henderson County Fair continues at the Fairgrounds in Stronghurst for the remainder of the week. Fair Board President Brian Randall breaks down the events for today and Friday:
“The beef show will be at 8 am. Bucket calf show at 1 pm. Thursday night is Figure 8 races, $10 to get in. Thursday is sponsored by The Feedlot Bar and Grill in Stronghurst. Friday will be the rabbit and poultry show at 8 am and then Friday night, sponsored by the Bank of Stronghurst, will be the IFPA Truck and Tractor Pull. Something new that we are going to do this year is another pedal pull. It will be kids through adults pedal pull. We will share the grandstand area with the IFPA Truck and Tractor Pull. That night is also free admission. Also, doing a bags tournament, dart tournament, and live music.”
Saturday, sponsored by Ingram’s Lawn and Landscape, will wrap up the 2023 Henderson County Fair with a pancake and sausage breakfast, car cruise 9 am to noon, mud volleyball and a kids stuffed animal show at 10 am, and ending the evening with Figure 8 races in the grandstands.
