A group of Illinois veterans are preparing for a memorable trip to Washington D.C. tomorrow. Seventy-two vets are taking part in the Greater Peoria Honor Flight Tuesday. More than two-thousand veterans have been flown to the capital on the Greater Peoria Honor Flight over the past ten years-plus. While in D.C., the vets will visit several historical sites, including the Smithsonian, the World War II Memorial, and more.
