Construction continues for the new Community Pharmacy on the McDonough District Hospital campus in Macomb. The nearly 10,000 square foot building will mirror the popularity of the current MDH Drive-Thru available to patients for tests and lab draws, shares Vice President of Business Strategy Patrick Osterman:

“Our goal for this is that if you have an appointment on campus, before you leave the doctors office, and it can be with any of the physicians that have offices at MDH, and you want to have your prescriptions sent over to our pharmacy, by the time you leave, that is our goal, you will have your prescription and be on your way. We are actually going to implement the same philosophy as we have with our current Drive-Thru lab, where you can drive in and get your lab work, well we are going to implement that same idea here with our pharmacy, you will pull in, we will have double lanes, we will open up the garage doors and you will come right in, so if the weather is bad you don’t have to get out of your car, drive right in, pick up your prescriptions, and be on your way.”

The Community Pharmacy will be located just south of the hospital’s main entrance and is set to be completed in the spring of 2024.
