Poultry and Rabbit Judge Randal Shimmin Challenges Showman at the Warren County Agricultural Fair

The Warren County Agricultural Fair kicked off its Wednesday events with the Poultry and Rabbit show. Randal Shimmin, judge of the poultry and rabbit show, says this year is a bigger show than past years.

When Shimmin judges showmanship classes, he says he likes to challenge the participant’s knowledge.

“I like to ask them questions I don’t think they will know and just kind of see what they do know,” said Shimmin. “Because if you don’t if you don’t surpass their knowledge, they don’t learn anything. So, that kind of showmanship is fun.”

The 2023 Warren County Agricultural Fair will be taking place at the fairgrounds in Roseville through July 22.
