Jayden Kunkle Tries His Hand At Showing Chickens at the Warren County Agricultural Fair

The Warren County Agricultural Fair kicked off its week of livestock shows Wednesday with the poultry show. This year Jayden Kunkle brought two chickens to the fair; Houdini and Wren.

“I have two birds right here. The one that won the junior showmen; her name is Houdini, and she is a Bantam. She is a very nice chicken. She likes to be held and she actually almost fell asleep. I think the judge really liked that she was very tame,” explained Knuckle. “The other one, her name is Wren, she’s a Maran. She can be a little bit feisty sometimes but she’s very soft, but it’s very it’s cool to just watch the chicken all the time.”

This is Kunkle’s first year showing chickens at the Warren County Agricultural Fair. Last year Kunkle showed pigs but decided to try a new species this year.
