WCHD Administrator Jenna Link Encourages Parents to Schedule those Physicals, Dental, and Immunizations Before School Rolls Around

Share

With the start of another school year right around the corner, Warren County Health Department Administrator Jenna Link encourages parents to schedule those physicals, immunizations, and dental exams ahead of time:

“We always try and partner up with the schools and remind and encourage parents to get those things done through the summer so that they are not all trying to get that done once school is starting back up. They have until about mid-October to get those things accomplished, but get out there and get those physicals scheduled, get the dental exams scheduled, and immunizations. If you have state medical insurance, we can do your immunizations through the Health Department. Make sure you call and get an appointment early and get those things done.”

Additionally, Administrator Link informs for those that receive Medicaid, there is a deadline to re-certify for coverage or you will term out and not have insurance. For assistance in re-certifying for coverage, contact the Illinois Department of Human Resources office in Monmouth at 309-734-2159.
