Linda A. White, age 77, of  Lake Warren, passed away at 8:25 pm on Friday August 25, 2023 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. Linda was born on January 16, 1946 in Monmouth, and is the daughter of Emory and Elizabeth Eyler Schroeder. Linda attended Monmouth public schools and Monmouth High School where she graduated with the class of ’64. She then attended and graduated from A.I.C. Business College in the Quad Cities. Linda married Gary L. White on May 23, 1981 in Bettendorf, Iowa and he survives. Linda was a secretary and office manager and first worked for Bendix, Inc. of Davenport, Iowa. She then was employed in the purchasing department of J. I. Case and Company in Bettendorf, Iowa. Linda then worked of Davenport Bank and Trust in Davenport in the Trust Department. Lastly she was employed at Kone Elevator downtown and later in the Coal Valley office in Moline, Illinois She retired in 2005 and moved to Lake Warren. She has been a member of the Lake Warren Ladies Circle and active in Lake events. Linda attended Faith United Presbyterian Church in Monmouth, Illinois. Linda loved her dogs and cats and has taken in many strays through out the years. She is survived by her husband, Gary L. White of Monmouth, Illinois, many nieces and nephews, and her sister, Evelyn Carlson of Monmouth, Illinois. She is preceded in her death by her parents, her daughter, Kay Howard, and her brother in laws, Ray Carlson and Jim Howard. 

A funeral service and visitation is being planned by her family of Thursday August 31, 2023 at 11:00 am at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois. Her family plans visitation and will receive their friends from 10:00 to 11:00 am prior to the service at the funeral Home. Interment will be in the Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery.
