Logan Campbell Wins Reserve Land of Lincoln Barrow at his First State Fair

Youth of all ages found success this year at the Illinois State Fair and Logan Campbell is no exception. For Logan, a fourth grader at United West Elementary School, his first State Fair show did not disappoint.

“I had Fifth Overall Barrow and Reserve Land of Lincoln [Barrow],” said Logan.

While Logan is just starting his show career, livestock show has been a generational tradition for the Campbell family, says Logan’s father Scott Campbell.

“Oh, it’s been a fun ride for us as a family. Logan is our oldest son and it’s actually his first year, so we sure didn’t expect to have a year like we did,” said Scott.

And Logan’s show season isn’t over yet. He says he will be bringing pigs to the livestock shows at the Prime Beef Festival and an upcoming show in Kewanee.
