Expanding access to inpatient and outpatient mental health services is the focus as OSF has broken ground on the new Meadowview Behavioral Health Center in Peoria, explains President at OSF St. Mary and Holy Family Zachary Yoder:

“We have a lot of behavioral health access issues around the state. Over 80 percent of people in their life will have some sort of mental illness, whether it is depression, anxiety, or something as far as schizophrenia, or things like that as well. A lot of anxiety and depression, especially among our youth and so there is really a lot of needs for behavioral health moving forward that we have to think through.”

Additionally, expansions with the OSF Cancer Center in Peoria are expected to be completed in the spring of 2027, bringing more treatment space, advanced technology, and improved experiences for patients.
