OSF HealthCare Holy Family and St. Mary President and CEO Lisa DeKezel Discusses Surgeries Available Locally

In the last ten years, the surgical departments at OSF Holy Family and OSF St. Mary have both been completely renovated to better serve the local communities in providing general and advanced surgeries in Western Illinois says President and CEO Lisa DeKezel:

“We are able to do at Holy Family general surgery, those procedures related to the digestive system, hernia repair, and gallbladder removal. Also, orthopedic surgery we are able to do across Galesburg and Monmouth. Gynecological surgery, we have our surgeons that are able to provide those procedures as well. Those are performed at St. Mary in Galesburg. Podiatry, foot and ankle surgeries, and also our wound care program that we have opened at Holy Family, which really has just grown by leaps and bounds and doing amazing things. Then ophthalmology surgery. We do a lot of cataract surgeries.”

DeKezel shares three new providers will be joining the OSF HealthCare team, Samuel Vasquez with General Surgery and Dr. Moudeme and Dr. Elsharod, Family Medicine and Obstetrics.
