Story by Kadin Rogers

The Abingdon-Avon Tornadoes football team is gearing up for a road Lincolnland Conference meeting with the Red Storm of United on Friday. The 2023 season for A-Town hasn’t fallen the way that the Tornadoes wanted, as they have gotten off to an 0-5 start to the year, with all 5 of their losses coming within the Lincolnland small school division. As Abingdon-Avon has been all but eliminated from IHSA postseason contenton, Tornadoes Head Coach Rick Quinn says that his team will need to find ways to stay motivated and play for pride, as they head towards the final stretch of the season.

Abingdon-Avon’s road matchup vs the Red Storm will kick-off from United High School at 7:00 on Friday. You can hear all the action from that Friday night contest live on AM 1330/FM 94.1 WRAM, coverage will begin with the pregame show at 6:40.
