Bonnie M. Harr, 91, of Stronghurst, IL, passed away at 5:28 am, Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Oak Lane Rehabilitation Center, Stronghurst, IL.

She was born on November 13, 1931in Galesburg, IL the daughter of Lyle and Beatrice “Bea” (Bricker) Yocumn. She was raised and educated in Dallas City, IL and graduated from Dallas City High School.

Bonnie married Billy Harr in Dallas City, IL; he preceded her in death on August 2, 1989.

She worked at Outboard Marine Motors in Galesburg for several years, she then worked at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant for several years.  She later worked at Conifer Factory for over 30 years, and finally at the Post Office in Stronghurst until her retirement.    

Surviving Bonnie is her children, Billie Smith of Stronghurst, IL, Larrie (Rick) Schaley of Stronghurst, IL, and Robert (Kris) Harr of Oquawka, IL; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and nine great great grandchildren.    

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and three sisters, one brother, and one daughter, Nickie Simpson.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  A private family graveside service will be in Carmen Cemetery, Carmen, IL.  McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL, is in charge of the arrangements.
