Close JFL Rivals Meet on Football Field at Galesburg High School on Sunday

Share

The Monmouth Cowboy and United Lions JFL football teams will meet for the first time ever on Sunday on the artificial turf field at Galesburg High School. The game kicks off at 4:00. The Monmouth Cowboys have a long tradition in success in the Junior Football League, while this is the first year of the United Lions program. Through the first 3 weeks of the 5-week regular season, the United Lions are tied at the top of the league at (2-0-1) with the Cardinals. The Cowboys are still searching for their first win at (0-3). Both programs have made a plea for a big turnout from the high school players from United and Monmouth-Roseville and any JFL alumni, hoping to pack the stands at Galesburg High School.
