Community SAFE-T Act Training Begins Sept 14th

Share

Starting September 18th, whether a defendant will be detained before trial will not depend on the size of their bank account but rather on the level of danger they pose to the community, as determined by the SAFE-T Act. This legislation significantly changes the way law enforcement will conduct arrests and nearly every step of the criminal prosecution process.

To increase community awareness about the SAFE-T act the State’s Attorney’s Office is hosting a Zoom training session on September 14th at 5:00 p.m. The training is expected to last about an hour. Pre-registration is required.
