Share

With the fall season right around the corner, high pollen counts recently, and students back in school, sickness, allergies, and even COVID have seen an uptick. Dr. Julio Santiago with Solvera Health shares how to distinguish symptoms among the diagnoses:

“With allergies you are going to see primarily itchy eyes, itchy nose, itchy ears, post nasal drip. With a viral illnesses you will see some of that, but you may also have a sore throat, achiness, fever, usually around 102 is going to be your fever for any of the viruses and primarily influenza, in conjunction with fatigue. That primarily will be the differentiation between allergies and viruses.”

This upcoming flu season, get your flu shot, stay home if you are ill, cover your mouth and nose, wash your hands frequently, clean and disinfect frequently, and practice healthy sleeping, eating, and drinking habits.
