Monmouth Police Chief Switzer Reminds City Residents of Blocked Roadways Ahead of Prime Beef Festival Parade

Share

The annual Warren County Prime Beef Festival parade is set for Wednesday, September 6th at 5 pm down Broadway in Monmouth. Monmouth Police Chief Joe Switzer reminds city residents of the blocked streets beginning at 4:30 pm:

“The parade will start at five o’clock. We block the streets off at 4:30 on the parade route from C Street to 11th going down Broadway. The officers, when they get to their posts at 4:30, they are instructed to block that street off. Inevitably, every year we have somebody that wants to drive across while the parade is going on or they want to get through a barricade or they get out and they move a barricade. We don’t want you to do that. We put that barricade there for a reason and we have the streets blocked off for a reason.”

The Warren County Prime Beef Festival continues September 6th through the 9th at the Monmouth Park.
