United Band and Choir Students Preparing for Performances at Disney Next Summer

A summer trip to Disney World in Florida was approved by the United Board of Education for United’s band and choir departments, shares Superintendent Jeff Whitsitt:

“It is a joint effort with Abingdon-Avon. Both bands and choirs, the Abingdon-Avon band and choir and ours will head to Florida to the Disney properties and have some performances while they are down there. They get to do a recording studio and do a recording while they are down there, not to mention I’m sure there will be a little fun to be had as well.”

Fundraising is underway now for the United students that will make the trip to Disney in the summer of 2024.
