Western Illinois University continues to lose students. The campus in Macomb last week said enrollment for the fall of 2023 is down to just seven-thousand-73 students, which is down from seven-thousand-643 students last fall. Western has seen enrollment fall for years, like most other universities in Illinois. WIU says there are just over 21-hundred new students on campus this year, that includes freshmen, transfer students, and graduate students.
