Both United and Monmouth-Roseville’s football teams are on the road tonight for matchups in week 8 of the IHSA regular season.
United
The Red Storm football team will take the 1 and a half hour bus ride south to Havana to take on the Ducks in a Lincolnland-Small School Division matchup. After starting the season 2-0, United now sits at 2-5 after 5 straight losses, and were all but eliminated from postseason contention last weekend with a 34-6 loss to the South Fulton Rebels.
Speaking on the WRAM Morning Show on Thursday morning, United Head Coach David Milroy says he is excited to see who will step up in tonight’s game, as the Red Storm continue to play for pride and showcase high energy to finish the 2023 fall season.
United’s contest with the winless Havana Ducks will kickoff at 7:00 from Havana High School. You can hear all the action from tonight’s game on AM 1330/FM 94.1 WRAM, beginning with the pregame show at 6:40.
Monmouth-Roseville
As for the Monmouth-Roseville Titans, they will go up north on their bus ride to take on TRAC-West opponent Orion for a huge game in the Titans season. Now sitting at 3-4 overall, the Titans need to stave off a loss in their last two games to stay eligible for the IHSA playoffs.
Speaking on the WRAM Morning on Friday morning, Titans Head Coach Jeremy Adolphson says his main message for the team has been to keep their confidence up, as they rebound from last weekend’s loss to the Kewanee Boilermakers.
Tonight’s game between Monmouth-Roseville and the Orion Chargers will kick-off from Orion High School at 7:00.
