Bids have been approved by the Monmouth City Council to begin construction on two projects at the Monmouth Municipal Airport, shares Mayor Rod Davies:

“Brandt Construction was the low bidder for the airport aprons that will be going around the west side and the north side of the new hangar and that will complete that hangar project. We will have those concrete aprons and make that easier to use. Then Gunther Construction received the low bid to extend the water line out to a fire hydrant in that area and also to put in a new entrance road and parking lot out there.”

Mayor Davies informs the total cost of the projects are around $800,000 and the city’s match on that is only 10%.
